Crossover Service and Service Innovation

Overview

Nowadays, crossover and convergence have been regarded as important innovative strategies or methods for modern firms to expand their products, services and markets. Crossover has become a trend and fashion, crossing tradition and modern, the East and the West, culture and technology. Under this crossover circumstance, crossover service is emerging as a concept of multi-subjects, which can be understood as a new economic phenomena and economic activity in the modern service industry. Crossover services are services provided across different business areas, different industries and different industrial domains. Compared with traditional services, crossover services have 3C characteristics, namely Crossover, Convergence and Complex.

As crossover service is an interdisciplinary concept spanning information technology, management and economics, it has scientific issues from these three perspectives. For example, how to forecast and evaluate the impact of crossover service on business and service economy, from the economic perspective; how to explore the business model of crossover service and evaluate its risks and value, from the management perspective; and how to achieve the integration of crossover resources and provide information technology support to crossover service, from the information technology perspective. The aim of our research on crossover service is to establish a group of models, tools, systems as well as methodologies to help modern enterprises to create innovative products, service and business model as well, expand their enterprise boundary, and seek for new profit sources.

The workshop will be held in conjunction with ICSOC 2018, on November 12-15, 2018, in Hanagzhou, China

  • Capacity model and evaluation mechanism for enterprise crossover services
  • Models for personalized crossover services
  • Value analysis and risk forecasting of the business model for crossover services
  • Integration of crossover resources and information technology support for crossover services
  • Modelling and integration of massive, heterogeneous and multi-dimensional information
  • Analysis, exploration and management of cross-domain knowledge
  • Design and realization of service supporting platform for crossover services

  • Submission and Publication

    We invite submission of unpublished original research papers that are not under review elsewhere. Submitted papers will be assessed based on their novelty, technical quality, potential impact, insightfulness, depth, clarity, and reproducibility. If accepted, At least one author of each accepted paper must register and participate in the workshop.

    Submissions are limited to a total of 12 pages, including all content, references and appendices. Each paper must be in PDF, written in English, and formatted according to Springer LNCS format. All accepted papers will be included in the workshop proceedings published as part of the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series of Springer.
